About
Anna Chenoweth Lipinski is a flutist and teacher based in Norman, Oklahoma. She maintains a thriving private studio of students of all ages, which she founded four years ago. Anna holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a minor in Nonprofit Organizational Studies from the University of Oklahoma.
She performs regularly with her husband, pianist Igor Lipinski. Together, they have shared their music internationally, with performances in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Lisbon, Portugal; Vienna, Austria; Gothenburg, Sweden; and Edinburgh, Scotland.
Anna’s students have achieved remarkable success, earning placements in honor bands, all-state ensembles, and receiving college scholarships. In 2025, every graduating senior pursuing flute at the university level was awarded scholarship offers, including multiple full-ride opportunities.
Passionate about teaching flutists of all skill levels, Anna brings a joyful, individualized approach to her lessons. She is deeply committed to her students’ progress and personal goals, tailoring her instruction to each student's unique learning style and personality. Lessons focus on tone development, breathing and body awareness, posture and movement, technical skills, interpretation, and a wide range of repertoire.
Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced high school flutist, Anna is excited to help you grow, achieve new levels of excellence, and enjoy making music every step of the way.
About Lessons
How Do Lessons Work?
Students attend a weekly private lesson—30, 45, or 60 minutes in length—during which we will play both together and individually. Each lesson is structured to introduce new concepts, strengthen technique, develop musicality, and work through etudes and repertoire.
Lessons are a dedicated time to assess progress, set goals, and encourage growth. I will assign weekly practice goals, which students are expected to prepare for their next lesson.
Where & When Do Lessons Take Place?
Middle and High School Students: Students have the option of attending lessons at my home studio in Norman or at their school band room, if possible.
Students not yet in a band program: Lessons are held at my home studio in Norman.
Online Option: Zoom lessons are available upon request.
Expectations
Come Prepared: Students should arrive ready to demonstrate the material assigned the previous week. Regular, focused practice between lessons is essential for progress.
Practice Logs: Students are required to keep a written log of their daily and weekly practice. This helps us track your growth and tailor future assignments.
Music Ownership: Students must purchase all assigned music—including method books, etudes, and repertoire—within two weeks of assignment. You must bring your own original copy (including piano scores if applicable) to each lesson.
